27 Days of Thankful #3.....

Today we lost a dear, sweet friend to cancer. As I reflect on the time that we spent with him I charish the time that we did have. Good friends that have your back in times of need are few and far between these days, but I am thankful to say that Jim and I have some of the best and supportive friends we could ever ask for. God Bless all of our friends past & present.

We want to express our heart felt thanks for Our Troops, All Of The Branches Of Our Armed Forces. Our prayer is that each and every Brother and Sister In Arms comes home with sound and complete Minds, Bodies, and Spirits. God Bless Our Troop, we are so thankful for their sacrifices.

27 Days of Thankful #1.....

Hello, we got this idea from Amanda at Serenity Now (click on name to read the entire post). she is doing 27 Days of Thankful for the November Month starting today. we know that all of us have those days that we seem to forget to be thankful for what we do have in our lives. As she says in her post,"Giving Thanks, Being Grateful, Offering Thanksgiving...sometimes requires an effort. Sure, it's easy to be thankful for your life when you have great hair, cute kids, new shoes, and a husband who makes you smile every day. It's the days when you hear bad news from the pediatrician, your car gets a flat tire, and your hair is frizzy that you find thankfulness a real stretch."
When life happens we should find the good and be thankful, we know sometimes life can throw a huge curve ball that you just can't see the way or how to hit out of the park. But we challenge each and everyone of you to find something no matter how silly, or small, you may think it might be, that you can be thankful for everyday leading up to Thanksgiving. Then come back to the Circus and share with us your thankfulness for that day in the comments section at the end of the current posts. There will be a new post everyday here at the Circus to share with you about our thankfulness.
Today I am thankful for my wonderful husband, as I am everyday. This morning before I got up to start my day he went and got me donuts and cappuccino, and when I got home from work he went to Sonic and got me a Route 44 Ocean Water with easy ice and extra blue, my favorite.
My husband Jim's comment when I asked him what he was thankful for he said "My Wife". Sweet Man!

Halloween at the New Home.....
I had been looking forward to halloween night all week. After all it was a new neighborhood, new house, new kids. Early in the night we noticed that most of the homes on our street didn't have their lights on for trick-or-treat. But all the same I was excited. Our dogs had to be put into the back yard, because, well let's face it they are big barkers. The first part of the night was great we had lots of cute little children visit our door. the first set of kids were between the ages of 6 and 4. The little girl was dressed up as Snow White, so cute. Small children would visit our door for the next hour or so. Then came the older children, which was fine. One little girl had a fantastic costume, she was a Mad Hatter, so cute, and the costume was just amazing. After about two and a half hours of Trick-or-Treaters, sweet costumes, and handfulls of candy we had a mini-van pull up, a woman got out with plastic orange pumpkin in hand and walked up to the door. In a somewhat quite voice she said, "Umm, Trick-Or-Treat". To which my husband replied, "where is your trick-or-treater". She answered with,"he didn't want to get out of the car". Jim put a piece of candy in her bucket, turned out the light and shut the door. Because let's face it, if the kids are too lazy to get out of the car and walk up to the door, it is time to turn out the light and call it a night.
